The Buddha conquered the Mara, the evil. But, according to the
commentators, the Mara invites the Buddha for his Parinibbana, the
passing away of the Buddha. They limited the age of Buddha for 80 years.
A Buddha who attained in to the enlightenment after practicing for
uncountable years and passing away at the age of 80 is not acceptable.
The commentator created stories around kings lived in the Buddha's
period and destroyed the identity of Buddha had with Lanka. A conceptual
Indian king, Vijaya, was introduced in to the name list of kings of
Helabima, the Nobel qualities of King Dutugamunu were ruined and
introduced him as a vicious king.....
