"Buddha had passed away on the top of the mountain called Adam's Peak", says Henry Charles Sirr, M.A. - Barrister at Law.

In his book titled "Ceylon And the Cingalese", Henry Charles Sirr, M.A. - Barrister at Law, says that "('Expelling') Passing away of 'progenitor of all mankind' had happened in the top of the mountain called Adam's peak.

The only person of whom the foot print placed on the top of the mountain called Adam's Peak (Sri Paada Kanda - The mountain of the sacred footprint, for us) as we know is nobody else but the Noble One, the Buddha himself.
